Janis has been married to her husband Don for a long time! Together they have three married children and seven grandchildren. Janis volunteers with the Cook County Juvenile Detention Center and gets to share the gospel there. She met Bill Tadevich there when they were both doing ministry, and he invited her to take a journey to Burora, Uganda.

Ever since Janis was a young child, she said she was going to be a nurse in Africa. The path was different than expected, but her prayers came true with WorldHope.us. Janis has invaluable skills as a registered nurse and is able to use her professional knowledge to improve the health of the children in Burora as well as help implement policies to diminish the spread of disease and improve cleanliness and hygiene. Each time Janis visits the children, she gets to share the love of Jesus with them and let them know how precious they are.

Janis serves as the Board Secretary and Director of Donor Relations. She is passionate about the children in Burora and helping them to know that Jesus Christ will never let them be alone.
